TEMPLE BETH EL FUNDS
GENERAL FUND
The TBE general fund provides for the day-to-day operation of the synagogue, including staff salaries, utilities, general expenses for religious school, adult education, etc. This is the default fund to which your gifts will be applied.
DEDICATED ACCOUNTS
Adult Education Fund
Covers the cost of speakers and programs for Temple Beth El.
Capital Improvement Fund
To be used for capital projects, such as the recent renovation of the Sanctuary to make the bima accessible.
Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund
Used by the Rabbi for charity or religious needs according to the IRS guidelines.
Rabbi’s Tamid Fund
To help pay for the full time status of our Rabbi which is not covered by general income.
Rae Kustner Children’s Library Fund
To purchase children’s books for the Temple Beth El library.
Religious School Fund
To be used for Temple Beth El Religious School expenses.
Religious School Scholarship Fund
To help pay for Religious School for those families who are not able to pay the full tuition amount.
M’lamedet Fund
To purchase books and supplies for Temple Beth El’s B’nai Mitzvah students.
Phillip Kustner Temple Library Fund
To purchase books and digital supplies for the Temple Beth El library.
Prayer Book Fund
To purchase prayer books.
Social Action Fund
To pay for Temple Beth El programs that aid the community.
Temple Beth El Sisterhood Donations
To provide additional funding for the work Sisterhood performs on behalf of the Temple.
Inez Neiman Fund
Provides temporary financial relief for Temple Beth El members. Aid may be used for emergency housing, food, clothing and life necessities. Families do not have to repay these funds.
Bertram H. & Estherlea Eckmann Legacy Fund
Created by the Eckmann family to honor the memory of Dr. Bert Eckmann, loving husband, father and grandfather and highly regarded leader of Temple Beth El for many years. Funds may be used for the betterment of Temple Beth El at the discretion of the Eckmann family.
Blanche Ginsberg Fund
Created by Ruth and Arnie Geller in memory of Ruth’s mother. Funds provide for the enhancement of Jewish education through financial assistance for trips to Israel. Funds are available to Temple Beth El students who maintained regular attendance at the Religious School from 7th grade through confirmation.
Jennie Kalman Campership
Provides funds for kids to go to Jewish Summer Camps. Please ask the administrator for the requirements needed to apply.
Security Fund
To provide security for Temple Beth El congregants and the Temple grounds.
Choir Fund
To cover the cost of supplies for the choir such as music, robes, sound equipment,etc. This fund is allocated at the discretion of the Cantor.
Senior Youth Group Fund
To cover Temple Beth El Senior Youth Group expenses.
Junior Youth Group Fund
To cover Temple Beth El Junior Youth Group expenses.
Facility Fee
To cover non-repetitive repairs and maintenance.
Flower Fund
To purchase flowers for Shabbat and for plant care in the building.
ENDOWED FUNDS
Capital Improvement Trust
Endowed fund whose earnings are designed to provide for the capital needs of Temple Beth El.
Legacy Fund
Endowment whose earnings afford a perpetual income stream for special Temple Beth El programs and projects that support Judaism and enhance Jewish life. The minimum gift to the Legacy Fund is $1,000.
